1. Overview & Your Right to Erasure
At Rapiber, you have complete control over your personal information. In accordance with applicable privacy laws and Google Play User Data policies, any registered user can permanently delete their account and associated personal data at any time.
You can delete your account using either our in-app self-serve option or by submitting an email deletion request if you have already uninstalled the application.
2. How to Request Deletion
📱 Option A: In-App Instant Deletion (Fastest)
If you have the Rapiber app installed on your Android device:
- Open the Rapiber mobile application and log in.
- Navigate to Profile (bottom navigation tab).
- Tap Edit Profile (or the Edit → button on your profile card).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Review the confirmation details and confirm deletion.
⚡ In-app deletion executes immediately: your active sessions are terminated and the automated data scrub job is queued.
3. Data Retention & Erasure Scope
Data Permanently Deleted:
- Personal identity details are anonymized in place and replaced with non-identifying values.
- Government identity documents and KYC verification photos (Driving License front/back and live selfie captures) are permanently deleted from secure storage.
- Active authentication credentials, device push tokens, and login refresh tokens.
- Saved addresses, draft listings, and active host vehicle listings are permanently retired.
Data Retained for Legal Compliance:
- Statutory Financial Records: Invoices, transaction IDs, and past rental payment records are retained for the mandatory statutory period under applicable Indian taxation, Goods and Services Tax (GST), and financial reporting laws.
- Pending Host Payouts: If you are a vehicle host with an outstanding payout for an already completed trip, bank details are retained until final banking disbursement completes.
4. Processing Timeline & Confirmation
In-app deletion requests take effect immediately upon confirmation. Email deletion requests are verified and processed within 48 hours to 7 business days. Please note that an account cannot be deleted while you have an active rental trip or while a damage dispute is open.
